South-East Asia’s most trusted business platform for the optical industry, SILMO Bangkok, is set to take place from 10 to 12 June 2020 at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, in Bangkok, Thailand.
In its third edition, the exhibition will host over 250 eyewear brands, as well as traders and manufacturers of optical lenses, optometric instruments, equipment and machinery, optical equipment, as well as products and services to operate optical shops and chain stores. They will all come together in the spirit of ‘Business Meets Fashion’.
“The ASEAN is the fastest growing market for this industry,” explained Loy Joon How, IMPACT Exhibition Management Co.’s general manager. “SILMO Bangkok was organised with the aim to continuously promote Thai manufacturers’ potential and help them to compete sustainably in the world market, and we will continue to develop and expand this trade event.”
On top of promoting Thai manufacturing, the fair will showcase its first ever Hong Kong pavilion. The Hong Kong Optical Manufacturers Association (HKOMA) have collaborated with The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) to create the 100-sqm space representing Hong Kong’s eyewear industry and hosting 30 exhibiting companies.
“The “Hong Kong Eyewear Good Design” pavilion will promote the superior design of Hong Kong eyewear in Belt and Road markets,” declared Grace Tai, president of the HKOMA. “SILMO Bangkok is the bridge that connects both the local and international market and that is why it is the ideal platform to explore for new opportunities and to serve ASEAN populations in a better way.” For more information about the show, its exhibitors, fashion show and eyewear design contest, please visit SILMO Bangkok 2020.
