The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) has invited amateur and professional photographers from around the world to showcase the diversity of eye health in their entries for the international photography competition it is organising with support from Bayer.
“What makes the WSD photo competition so powerful is that it brings to life the reality of sight loss,” said Dr Rafiq Hasan, VP & Head of Ophthalmology at Bayer. “We understand that we cannot prevent avoidable blindness by working in silos, and therefore collaboration across sectors and disciplines is essential.”
Celebrating its fifth year, the online photo competition’s theme this year is “Vision First!” Entries must be submitted by 10 October 2019, which happens to be World Sight Day, and winners will be announced on 15 October. Prizes include a Canon 1200 D DSLR camera and a cash prize of USD 1000.
